Abstract
This is my final project upon exiting SUNY Purchase as a Theatre Major, a play combined with traditional playwriting and documentary theater techniques. Entitled, Coming Together: The Story of Me, it encapsulates my past four months doing college away from campus. On top of being a full time student, the play documents life with my family at home, while attempting to follow my dreams. Research involves factors surrounding gender, class and mental health. Overall, this project is a well versed tail of a first generation student taking on the world in their own way, alongside family and friends.
