Abstract
This research study investigated the link between multiracial individuals and the rejection identification model. It proposed that perceived discrimination can be perpetrated by either side of a multiracial individuals ingroup, resulting in further identification with the opposite ingroup. Sixteen multiracial individuals answered various questionnaires measuring perceived discrimination, attribution to prejudice, multiracial identity, and their connection to said identity. The results showed a negative correlation between identity and rejection, as well as attribution to prejudice and identity. Perceived discrimination had lowered levels within this sample, possibly pointing to decreased connection to their multiracial and separate identities
