Abstract
Sexual assault on American College campuses disproportionately affects female-identifying and gender-non-conforming students over cisgender male-identifying students. Violence against women stems from deeply rooted systemic issues that start very early in life. A culture rooted in patriarchy, gender bias, and sexism fosters and perpetuates rape culture on college campuses. In-person bystander prevention programs must be implemented into the curriculum of Universities, and the Title IX process must be reformed. Colleges in the United States must do more to protect victims of sexual violence.
