Abstract
This piece is a research paper which explores the history, important figures, iconic artwork, and various other dynamics of the Bootleg Art Toy scene, a movement of art which sees toys, beloved objects and iconic symbols of childhood, re-casted, repainted, repackaged, and therefore recontextualized into works of modern art.
