Abstract
This 190 hour automotive technician course is the fourth out of four classes of the automotive certificate program. The 711 hour program provides needed training for technicians at a repair facility. This course is split into two sections. The first section covers Hybrid and EV's including:
-Vehicle operation, features, and components
-High voltage safety
-High voltage disconnect procedures
-HV battery types, construction, and operation
-Scan tool monitoring of data, from HV batteries, motors, and other controllers
-HV battery removal and service procedures
The second section includes two weeks of internships at area automotive repair centers.
