Abstract
Event programming and producing at colleges and universities is often a vital part of campus life. From booking performers to putting together large parties for students, the title of programming coordinator holds a lot of responsibility to it. Other day-to-day operations include marketing for live events, scheduling activities, shows, and parties throughout the academic calendar, managing events day-of-show, and serving as a liaison for students and the student government. The programming coordinator also negotiates and works with outside talent agencies that represent performers of interest within the student body. Curating events successfully at colleges as the programming coordinator revolve around the combination of practicality, taste in content, passion, and overall ability to communicate effectively with students and organizations on campus.
