Abstract
This paper is a research and case study on how live music (specifically festivals) contribute to their host community and develop culture. It is broken up into sections giving context on music and festivals in society today, the impact they make on college campuses, and includes a critical reflection on a music festival that I promoted last fall here at Purchase.
