Abstract
This poster traces the transformation of sound in the Caribbean -- from a colonial instrument of control and religious discipline to a powerful medium of cultural memory, resistance, and national identity. It highlights how music evolved from enforcing European norms to empowering communities and expressing post-independence Caribbean identity.
