Abstract
In March 2020, the coronavirus pandemic shut down the world, limiting interactions between people. Virtual arts in education programs offer an opportunity to artists who are out of work and arts organizations by forming creative and productive space for students learning online from home. This paper seeks to illuminate the history and value of arts in education by taking a look at teaching artistry and modes of participation, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.
