Abstract
Nightclubs are integral to the cultural health of cities/places that serve communities through the empowerment of art, elevated social situations, and dance floor offerings. This body of research examines the birth of art–focused clubs in New York City, the challenges they have faced historically, and the individual impact these venues execute in a changing world.
