Abstract
For my senior project, I wanted to study a topic that is personal to me. I have decided to speak about the positive effects of writing as a form of therapy. In this paper I will explore the mental and physical improvements of those who practice writing therapy; myself included. I practice writing therapy, composing short poems and stories in a journal. I have included some of my poems in the paper, describing how the process of writing these poems has helped me heal from emotionally traumatic experiences.
