Abstract
A performance concentration focused on two new works:
Instincts: a play by Erin Pollack that focuses on mental illness and the ways our society responds to the mentally ill.
Harlem Summers: a play by Destiny Tompkins that looks at the pros and cons of gentrification in low income communities (and predominantly black/hispanic communities) through the lens of two sisters.
