Abstract
This paper is an analysis of the representation of females in comedy. The purpose of this study is to explore current media content and discuss issues of inadequate representation, while also highlighting successful examples. I hope, through this paper, the reader gains a better understanding of the ways in which females are misrepresented, and why it is important for there to be more opportunities for women working in this industry.
