Abstract
This senior project centers around the Theatre and Performance Mainstage production of the play "How to Defend Yourself" by Liliana Padilla, in which I played the role of Nikki. The research segment of the project focuses on the rise of anti-Asian violence during the COVID-19 pandemic and the ways in which Asian Americans are forced into an "in-between space" that they must learn to protect in order to defend their right to exist within any and all spaces.
