Abstract
This paper takes the basic foundational structures of Heidegger and applies them to the phenomenon of love. As such, the paper seeks to interpret and explain the experience of romantic love in Heideggerian terms. The paper uses Plato, Nietzsche, Kierkegaard, and modern media to explain these experiences in order to get at the nature of romantic love as we experience it through our being.
