Abstract
My senior project is a two-book series. A photo memoir and a children's book. These books are to educate people about adoption and the importance of acceptance. These books are intended for families adopting a child, especially a child from a different culture. I'm offering my experience to other people to make them aware. Aware of all the positives and negatives that come along with adopting. There are so many things someone wouldn't know unless they've experienced it. So that's why sharing my experience instead of throwing facts at someone is important. The children's book is included in this series for the siblings of the adopting family to feel like they are a part of this whole experience as well. Both of the books' themes are to teach that love and acceptance is the answer to every worry and question the adopting family may have. Making sure this child feels loved and accepted is the most important thing.
