Abstract
Intimacy is present in every human experience. Through oil painting, wood carvings and wood cut prints, I am exploring intimacy in its many forms. When we think of intimacy we think of the typical romantic or sexual ideas that hang on the word. Although these are important, they are not the only forms that should be celebrated. I am considering the history of intimacy and how it has been investigated through common objects such as flowers, cigarettes and the human body.
Porch Light explores these moments and their meanings.
