Abstract
This thesis paper makes use of previously published research to examine the effects of mental health on Black students attending the State University of New York (SUNY). The study specifically focuses on the difficulties that Black students encounter, such as disrupted enrollment, food hardship, childcare concerns, and housing insecurity, with a focus on how these problems were made severe during the COVID-19 pandemic through use of journalist interviews with specific subjects.
