Abstract
This senior project in Theater & Performance involved not only performing the roles of Brandi and Kara in Lilliana Padilla's "How to Defend Yourself," but also creating a group centered around environmental activism called the Environmental Action Group, or EAG. Where my character Brandi started a woman's self defense class to help other women protect themselves from would be attackers, I started EAG to help defend the Earth from the attacks she is facing from ecocidal laws, orders and systems. I discuss the ways in which femicide and ecocide are intertwined, and how people can fight back against the oppressive systems that try to beat us down.
