Abstract
Introduction: Collection of blood and blood components in the United States involves a wide range of methods. To identify US trends in blood collection and use and utilize artificial intelligence (AI) in optimizing use. Method: The 2019 survey aimed at all the U.S. blood collection centres and hospitals that performed 1,000 or more procedures per year. Estimate the amount of blood that will be used in 2023 and 2025. Calculate a more efficient method of using blood and assist in getting the people who need it.
