Abstract
This paper will discuss the history of the game of golf and analyze the wage gap between PGA and LPGA golfers using literature review, descriptive statistic analysis, and a regression analysis. The writer has collected data from the PGA and LPGA tour for the 2018 season including driving distance, driving accuracy, greens in regulation, scoring average, total holes played, year to date victories, and money won. Does a significant statistical difference exist between PGA players and LPGA players ? What factors can influence the wage gap between PGA players and LPGA players?
