Abstract
Competition between plants leads to limited resources, which may force a survival of the fittest situation. Wisconsin Fast Plants, Brassica rapa, have multiple different genotypes that influence how they grow. We measured various growth parameters, such as daily height, in two genotypes related to energy acquisition - Polycot and Yellow-Green - to determine if the genotype influenced the response to competition. Our results indicated that the Polycot genotype is a better competitor than the Yellow-Green genotype.
