Abstract
This curriculum project was designed to provide educators with a sequential set of lessons and materials that support students in an Advanced Placement Statistics course through the process of hypothesis testing. The four lessons, structured using the 5E model, take students through the process of engagement, exploration, explanation, elaboration, and evaluation. These lessons focus on referencing students’ prior knowledge and engaging them through topics relevant to both the mathematics classroom and the real world. The four lessons are designed to follow the Advanced Placement Statistics Course and Exam Description and can be used in any upper-level Statistics course.
