Abstract
This paper takes a look into the public health crisis of skin bleaching in Ghana and their efforts to combat the crisis. It gets to the root of why skin bleaching occurs, which include colonialism, colorism, white supremacy, and the unethical marketing of the beauty industry. It then looks at Ghana’s approach in handling this public health crisis and offers new insight on effective ways to continue the fight against the practice of skin bleaching.
