Abstract
This Senior Project paper examines the Brotherhood of Sleeping Car Porters, exploring how media representation, political strategy and grassroots organization efforts had shaped the unions struggle for legitimacy. Focusing on Asa Philip Randolph's leadership, it traces the BSCP's transformation from a marginalized labor force to a nationally recognized force and highlights its broader impact on African American Labor Rights.
