Abstract
Plants Over Plastic is an environmental campaign promoting the use of plant-based materials over today's plastics. This is an important topic to bring awareness to because plastic pollution is harming the world for current and future generations. I feel that design is a great way to make people notice this issue and care enough to make changes in their daily lives. Design is an influential medium that is able to reach a large amount of the population because advertising materials can be placed on trains, on billboards, at bus stops, on clothing, and more. Plants over plastic provides consumers and business owners with solutions to start choosing plant-based materials. It does this with bold colors and eye-catching imagery to direct them to the information vital to saving the planet.
