Abstract
The objective of this course is to examine how the rules of evidence, historically rooted in the Bill of Rights and the Anglo-American adversarial judicial system, serve to protect the fundamental rights of persons accused of crimes as well as to promote Effective fact finding. Through studying actual criminal cases, students will examine the value of these rules in terms of rapid technological and social change. This is a Core course within the Criminal Justice curriculum.
