Abstract
Reality and unscripted television have allowed people to satisfy voyeuristic and social needs. People who are considered to be more extroverted have been cited as more likely to emulate the behavior they see on these types of programing. This has change they way society interacts with celebrities. This change happened at the same time as social media’s rise in popularity. Studying young adults between the ages of 20-25 revealed their lack of reality TV consumption. However, there social media interaction has allowed them to still consume unscripted and reality TV programming.
