Abstract
An analysis on how screenwriters Karen McCullah ad Kirsten Smith adapted Shakespeare's plays "The Taming of the Shrew" and "She's the Man" into modern films that resonated with teen audiences. I mostly explore the feminist theory found in the films as well as the history behind movements such as the different waves of feminism. I also looked into the poor audience reception at the time of the films' release and the current more positive opinions about the films today.
