Abstract
This course is a study of etiology, pathology and clinical manifestations of medical conditions commonly referred to occupational therapy. Clinical Conditions is a required course in the Occupational Therapy Assistant curriculum. In this course students begin to develop clinical reasoning skills related to diagnosis and principles of health. Conditions commonly seen by OT practitioners are examined from both the medical model and from an occupational therapy perspective. Collection of assessment data, general treatment goals and intervention strategies are introduced.
