Abstract
This paper examines the impact of immersive theater in the industry today. Through professional examples and personal experience, there is an examination of the effects of immersive theater. This paper also includes the history of theater, its theoretical framework, with a focus on phenomenology, and survey data regarding audience response. Critical reflection is the bulk of this paper which explores an immersive show I produced in the Spring of 2024 at Purchase College.
