Abstract
This paper explores the evolution and current role of the music supervisor and the direct impact they have in film and television. The research and analysis here strive to raise awareness and appreciation of successful music supervision in film and television. It is intended for those who are looking for the job behind the scenes that makes film and television great. The roles, responsibilities, and resources will be outlined to give a better understanding of the position. Choosing the music in a film or television show is a difficult undertaking, and this paper aims to reveal the importance of the position of the music supervisor in modern day film and television.
