Abstract
This is an informative essay about the usage of time as a motive for storytelling in Martyna Majok's most current produced play, 'Sanctuary City'. It is a deeper look into Sanctuary Cities, the DREAM Act, and LGBTQ+ rights. While examining each of these topics there is cross-reference to the years Majok chose to set this play. There is information in the earlier scenes and the later scenes that draws audiences into this tragic masterpiece.
