Abstract
This Senior Project explores the nature of street art in transforming Belfast's contested spaces into socially regenerated environments. This project expands upon current literature by framing the discussion of street art through a sociological perspective and providing a historical analysis of previous street art movements. Using ethnographic methods of data collection, this project gathers its findings and analysis from personal experience and qualitative data collected from conversations with local artists and residents.
