Abstract
For my capstone I focused on researching how events are important to a community. Collaborations, workshops and the grassroots of an organization are all important parts of this research because I was able to discover how much all of these aspects matter. I found through collaborations that different ideas are brought to the table, there's help financially and the chance of a wider audience. Through workshops there's the opportunity to bring members of a community together to come up with solutions to problems that they might be facing at the moment. Through grassroots I found that not only is all of this important to the community but also to the volunteers helping put this all together. Volunteers have the opportunity to pick up skills that they may not have known before. Events can drastically change a student's school career because together we all learn about the community as a whole and they can also become involved, make connections and maybe even find their passion through it all. My research helped me come to the decision of making a manual for future members of organizations on college campuses so that they can help future generations of students enjoy their college experience to the fullest.
