Abstract
In light of recent New York City legislation regarding the sales of animals in pet stores, this article examines the myriad of information regarding small rodents. This senior project is an exploration into the experience of owning and the marketing surrounding small rodents (hamsters, rats, mice and guinea pigs). It works to answer the questions: Are these good pets? Who should own them? Why is there so much contradictory information on them?
