Abstract
Multi Level Marketing schemes will use social media to present themselves in a more attractive light, often pressuring direct sellers to post a false life style and market the company through direct messages resulting in rifts in their social lives and a negative effect on mental health. Through the format of a podcast I interview Professor of Marketing William Keep from the College of New Jersey to discuss how these MLMs operate on social media and how an individual may be enticed into joining one. The research paper discusses this topic even further with relevant scholarly work and first hand experiences of people in MLM's that supports my own findings of how these companies use social media to marketing their brand.
