Abstract
This research paper on Artist Managers and their Impact on Clients' Career Success elaborates on the significance behind the role of an artist manager and how managers shape the careers of clients. Within this paper, I delve into the aspects on what is artist management, the preferred qualities of a good or not so good artist manager, the importance of branding, positioning and marketing, case studies/interviews with past and present day managers and an independent survey. This paper bridges the gap between the relationship of artist managers and clients, showcasing the value in which a manager brings to their client by teaching them about the market, social media, engagement and promotion. By observing past managers such as Colonel Tom Parker and Brian Epstein in correlation to modern day managers such Scooter Braun and Tyler Saczawa, we notice how artist managers over the years have stuck to what works and gained significant knowledge on being a better artist manager through looking what worked and what didn't.
