Abstract
This paper dives into the publication overhaul of SUNY Purchase's arts and culture magazine, The Beat. It explains how The Beat's team updated the look, style, and content of the magazine to better show off the campus's creative community through our 20th issue, "Escaping the Ordinary." It also shows which areas are still lacking and provides recommendations on how the publication can improve.
