Abstract
By examining the literary haunted house and the archive, one discovers many similarities. This project explores the relationship between these seemingly separate entities. Exploration of this uncanny connection accumulates in a discussion about marginalized communities, and how the sanitization of history and self-sanitization can lead to the haunted homes we find within literature.
