Abstract
For my senior project I will be analyzing how the Battle of Normandy was portrayed through works of film. I have analyzed two films and a mini series that showcase a visual representation of D-Day. I had done additional research by searching for articles, books, and film reviews to help show how these films can be used to give audiences a better understanding of how D-Day was carried out. These films were created in a matter that not only show how D-Day was carried out but they also provide a visceral experience to the viewer and show how it would be like to be someone who experienced the events of D-Day first hand. Through factors such as cinematic elements and historical accuracy these films show viewers a visual demonstration of the director's interpretation of D-Day.
