Abstract
My Senior capstone paper is on drunk driving, through a family autobiography. Almost four years ago in February my parents were hit head on by a drunk driver, 3x over the legal limit to drive. His wrong decision to drink and drive changed my family's life. Every day we live in fear of another accident, or hearing about innocent people being killed or injured by a drunk driver. Through research I discovered Drunk driving is the number one cause of motor vehicle accidents, it's crazy to think so many accidents you see are caused by someone under the influence. There are various forms of transportation like Uber, Lyft, taxis, or even police officers who will safely bring you home if you are drinking. You should never get into a car drunk, you could ruin someone's life let alone your own. Next time you think of driving drunk I hope you think of my family's story, or the local family or teen who was killed by a drunk driver.. Be smart and always remember your wrongful actions can change someone's life for good.
