Abstract
My Senior project is a book that explains what Thanatophobia is through psychological and medical research, as well as a personal recollection of what it is like to have and deal with the fear of death. My thesis is to prove the existence of Thanatophobia and the importance of discussing it as one would for any other disorder or phobia through medical and psychological research, as well as a brief history lesson on where the word “Thanatophobia” originated. I hope to accomplish this by educating readers through the writing of my book and thereby bringing Thanatophobia into the spotlight. It is my intention that my book, titled Thanatophobia, which is meant to help those who are now in a position similar to mine when I did not fully comprehend Thanatophobia in the past.
