Abstract
Disabled students are being educated in integrated physical education settings alongside their typically developing peers more frequently due to the implementation of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act of 2004. Ideally, disabled students experience inclusion (i.e., acceptance, belonging, and value) in an integrated educational setting. More recently, adapted physical education scholars have begun to raise concerns that disabled students are not being included in their integrated physical education classes and, therefore, missing out on positive inclusive educational experiences. The purpose of this synthesis project is to review the literature on autistic students' experiences in physical education classes.
