Abstract

The OtY3 marker was used to genotypically sex salmon. A combination of PCR/AFLP and gel electrophoresis were used to determine if this locus was successful in genotyping lake Ontario Salmon. The marker was not effective in genotyping salmon, and a new marker will be explored in future work.
