Abstract
This project explores how women of color perceive Instagram's impact on altering beauty standards. The presence of social media in contemporary society has undeniably reached unprecedented levels of influence, providing a platform for knowledge dissemination and self-expression. Reflecting on past decades, it becomes evident that societal norms were less accepting, particularly regarding the rigid beauty standards imposed on women necessitating conformity to specific beauty ideals.
