Abstract
Do smartphones cause students to be distracted and unproductive thus resulting in procrastination? This research will discuss Problematic Smartphone Use and Students. Looking at the hours I spend on my phone and connect it to other research. I discover that I am on my phone most when at school and procrastinating. The following discusses various terms that are used to describe different kinds of smartphone usage, as well as possible solutions to Problematic Smartphone Use.
Background: This research will discuss Problematic Smartphone Use and College Students
Objective: The aim of this study is to discover the link between Student smartphone habits and procrastination.
Design and Method: I performed a Systematic Literature Search and collected screentime data from my own smartphone usage.
Results: The literature supported the idea that smartphone use detracts from academic endeavors.
Conclusions: Smartphone usage by students is eating up valuable time that could be spent studying or doing coursework. Smartphones could be used to fix this issue.
