Abstract
The relationship between algorithms and natural systems share a link that should be explored in an artistic context. Murmurations, which refer to the dynamic dark clouds that form from starling flocks, have a charisma that exhibits this connection. While the Boids algorithm by Craig Reynolds can attempt to demonstrate these formations, their emergence retains a degree of mystique. This suggests a descriptive relationship between biology and math, Where each discipline must be questioned in the explanation of such an event. By using virtual ecosystems as a basis to explore such phenomena, the artistic possibilities of simulating natural systems begin to reveal themselves.
