Feeding the Image: A Sociological Inquiry into Media and Eating Disorders

My research dives into the depths of eating disorders and what causes them, as well as how they are portrayed in various movies and shows. Eating disorders are life threatening and all consuming disorders that take over every aspect of someone's life, which I break down in my research and analysis. Eating disorders are not caused by one thing and the complexity of these disorders needs to be further examined. The interconnection of various societal forces that contribute to eating disorders should be analyzed in order to prevent the perpetuation of these disorders.
