Abstract
An overview of Audre Lorde's work discussing the themes of Black women, hatred and anger, and their interconnectedness. Examines questions such as: What is the relationship between Anger and Hatred and their meaning and role as catalysts of social change in Audre Lorde's essays? How do these emotions manifest for Black women, how are they used and in what way(s) are they theorized across the essays? What is the difference of anger and hatred as defined by Audre Lorde. How can the Black woman use anger for survival?
